We may disclose personal information to:
- Oku affiliates, for the purposes described in this notice and subject to the same protections.

5. Cookies and Similar Technologies
The Website uses cookies and similar technologies that are necessary for operation and security and, with your choices where required, for analytics and other optional purposes. Our Cookie Notice will identify the technologies used, their purposes, providers and retention periods.
You can review or change your choices at any time through the Cookie Settings link in the Website footer. Non-essential technologies will be controlled through the consent mechanism required for the relevant visitor and jurisdiction. Where required by applicable law, we treat a Global Privacy Control signal sent by your browser as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information and of targeted advertising.
6. International Transfers
Oku and its service providers may process personal information in countries other than the country where you are located. Those countries may have different data-protection laws.
Where applicable law requires safeguards for an international transfer, we use an approved transfer mechanism or another legally recognized safeguard, such as an adequacy decision, standard contractual clauses, or the applicable United Kingdom transfer mechanism. You may request additional information using the contact details below.
Transfers among Oku companies, including our affiliates in Austria and Finland, are made under intragroup data-transfer agreements incorporating standard contractual clauses, or another recognized safeguard.
7. Retention
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this notice. In determining the appropriate period, we consider the nature of the information, the duration of our relationship or interaction, applicable legal and regulatory requirements, limitation periods, security needs, and the need to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
Marketing subscriptions are retained until you unsubscribe or we otherwise determine that the information is no longer needed. We may retain limited suppression information after an opt-out so that we can respect your choice. Cookie-specific periods will appear in the Cookie Notice.
8. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on where you live and subject to applicable law, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information; restrict or object to certain processing; receive certain information in a portable format; withdraw consent; or appeal a decision concerning a privacy request. You may also have the right to opt out of certain sales, sharing, targeted advertising, or profiling. Some rights are subject to exceptions.
You may unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time by using the link in the message or contacting us. You can exercise other privacy rights by emailing privacy@okuglobal.com. We may need to verify your identity and, where applicable, the authority of an agent acting for you. If your request concerns a service provided by an Oku affiliate, or health information handled by an Oku affiliate that is a HIPAA covered entity, we will direct your request to that company, and that company’s notice will govern the response.
Where Canadian anti-spam law applies, our commercial electronic messages will identify the sender, provide the required contact information, and include a functioning unsubscribe mechanism. We will send those messages only with consent or another basis permitted by law.
If you are in the EEA or United Kingdom, you may lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority. Individuals elsewhere may contact the privacy regulator applicable to their jurisdiction.
9. Patients, Research Participants, and Health Information
Oku does not ordinarily interact directly with patients or research participants through this Website. Where Oku processes clinical, imaging, or research information in providing products or services to a customer, it generally does so on behalf of and under the instructions of the relevant healthcare organization, research institution, clinical trial sponsor, or other responsible organization. That processing is governed by the applicable agreement and service- or study-specific documentation, rather than this Website Privacy Notice.
Oku Digital Health, Inc. is not a HIPAA covered entity, and personal information collected through this Website for corporate marketing and business-development purposes is not intended to include PHI. Please do not submit patient information, medical records, or ophthalmic images through the Website. Separate services through which Oku handles PHI on behalf of a customer are governed by the applicable customer agreement and are outside the scope of this notice.

Questions about your participation, health, or study information should be directed to your physician, investigator, study site, sponsor, or the organization identified in those materials. These parties can link your identity to the relevant study record and respond to your request.
